Jessiesjacknratchett, Reiner, is the stallion who represents the foundation our program originated upon. Our barn has been blessed by his grandmother, father, half-brother and several of his offspring. Their athleticism and willingness to please is only rivaled by their intelligence and kindness. He continues to bring some of the best classic blood lines into our program; we will never be without his off spring in our barn, under our saddles or in our breeding program.

Reiner’s paternal grandsire, Ratchett, was a 1975 sorrel overo paint stallion bred with racing and ranch-horse influences that were fashionable at the time who made a name for himself as a pinnacle halter horse that could ride. Ratchett closed his 3-year-old year with several new titles: APHA Champion, national champion 3-Year-Old Stallion and spots on the APHA Honor Roll in halter and Western pleasure. Over the course of his career, he earned 272 halter points—including 83 grand champion titles—and 220 performance points in six events. In January 1979, Ratchett was retired to the breeding barn, where he left an equally impressive mark. The sire of 373 registered foals, Ratchett’s offspring earned 5,354 halter points, more than 15,200 performance points, 31 world and national championships, and 27 reserve world and national champion titles. Among his foals are national champion Sockett, who is APHA’s No. 2 Lifetime Leading Sire of Halter Points Earned.

Reiner's maternal grandsire, Two Eyed Red Buck, was a 1991 buckskin quarter horse stallion, who also had an outstanding show record with numerous accomplishments, Throughout this career he accrued 29.5 Halter and 249.5 performance AQHA points; ROM Halter-Open; Superior Heading-Open; Superior Heeling-Open; AQHA Champion; 1997 AQHA World Open Aged Halter Stallion-9th; 1997 AQHA High Point Halter Stallion-9th; 1996 AQHA Champion, Superior heading & superior heeling, High point Jr Heeling-4th, reserve highpoint heading stallion, and all around high point jr horse-3rd. He sired 312 halter and 9149 performance AQHA point earners, 6 AQHA champions, 10 halter & 80 perf ROMs, 2 superior halter & 63 superior performance, 2 world champions & 2 reserve world champions. PHBA; 57 halter & 348 performance point earners & world champion, and NRHA money earners.

Reiner's maternal great-damsire, Jesse Tivio was listed as being in the top 100 Grand Sires in The Reigning Horse Association and Working Cow Horse. He was gentle minded and good boned who marked his offspring with his great genetics.
